Our first glimpse of Loch Ness -- as Carolyn takes her turn at the right-side steering wheel.
First stop, Urquhart Castle, on the shores of Loch Ness.

There has been a fortification at this site continuously since the 13th century. The portable gift shop Historic Scotland installed has some of the locals upset.
The wind seems to blow constantly off the loch, and it kinda looks like a set for the movie Brave Heart, no?

Mark took the opportunity to get up close and personal with Loch Ness...
The sun started to poke through the clouds -- hey, there's color when it does!
