Mark and Carolyn's Excellent Eclipse Cruise

The Queen Julianna Bridge stretches over the port.

This pontoon bridge swings out into the channel when ships aren't passing through!

The Regal Princess cruise liner arrived just after we did. In all, 6 cruise liners docked in Willemstad that night, including the Statendam's sister ship, the Veendam.

We boarded a small boat to take us to Curacao's Seaquarium. On the way out, we passed our home away from home -- the Statendam.

Considering our ship is 13 stories tall, you can judge how high the bridge is!

On our way back, around 8 p.m., we encountered the Statendam again, this time in all her glittering finery.
