The following pages and tour will give you a taste of our 2006 trip to Australia, by way of Los Angeles, which occurred from July 18 through August 5. The purpose of the trip was primarily business, to attend the biennial International Planetarium Society conference in Melbourne. Following that meeting, we went on an all-sky photo expedition as part of a tour of Australia's best-known astronomy sites in New South Wales. Perhaps some of the all-sky images we took will find a place in future productions! Carolyn handled the rectangular photos using an HP R707 Photosmart digital camera while Mark did the circular all-sky work with a Nikon Coolpix 995 and a fisheye lens. All the images posted here are quick-downloading (hence compressed low-resolution) versions of our higher-res images. To view them full size, simply click on the image; then select "Back" in your browser to return. Choose on a destination button below, and we hope you enjoy our trip!
