The ASD Planetarium serves not only the Allentown School District, but the greater Lehigh Valley with live, participatory programming that not only educates, but also entertains. Program outlines are available on the www. The ASD Planetarium program is completely self-funded.

The planetarium presents programs for the district's elementary children on a daily basis. Secondary astronomy presentations are given to the high school astronomy classes. Seasonal sky shows are provided for the general public during the school year.

A 70 year old full service planetarium company specializing in turn-key dome theaters, planetarium design, projection domes including NanoSeam, SciDome digital planetariums powered by Starry Night Dome real time software, opto- mechanical instruments, and fulldome shows.

The Schisler Museum and McMunn Planetarium form the only science center in the Pocono Mountains region that combines natural history and astronomy into one experience.

Originally the Erie Planetarium which opened in March of 1960 in Erie PA. In 2013 we moved to the local Penn State Campus (Penn State Behrend) and reopened in the Fall of 2014.

To honor its founder and director for his two decades of meritorious contributions, the facility has been formally named The Ted Pedas Planetarium.

We are part of Pa. State Government and are located on the 3rd floor of the State Museum. We produce Public shows rather than lesson-oriented programs.
