We are the first accredited museum and planetarium in the state of Iowa. Our
educational goal:to give the people of Northwest Iowa a better understanding
of the night sky. Free public shows are the last Sunday of every month,
or can be scheduled by appointment weekdays for groups of ten or more.

Barton Planetarium presents tours of the night skies as well as fulldome
videos covering a wide variety of topics. Shows are provided free of charge
to the public and to various school and civic groups. The planetarium is
